MONKEY

Monkey is a common name that may refer to groups or species of mammals ,in the part the simians of infraorder simmiformers.the term is applied descriptively to groups of primatates,such as families of New World Monkeys nd Old World monkeys.Many monkeys species are tree dwelling,although there are species that live primarily on the ground such as baboons.Most species species are mainly active during the day.Monkeys are generaally considered to be intelligent especially the old World monkeys of Catarrhein

Simians and tarsiers emerged within the haplorrhines some 60million years ago.New World monkeys and Catarrhine monkeys emerged wthin the simians some 25 million years ago .Extinct basl simian such as Aegyptopithecus or Parapithecus{35-32 million years ago}.

Monkeys including apes can be distinguish from other primates by having only two pectoral nipples,a pendulous penis and lack of sensory.
